Job summary

ALDI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, drive sales, control expenses, and develop staff. You will report to the store manager and lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

Position is full-time with an average of 38 hours per week. Starting wage is $27.00 per hour, with a wage increase to $28.00 per hour in Year 2, reflecting ALDI's commitment to growth and retention.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment and prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees resolution of employee and customer concerns with the store manager.
• Leads and develops store personnel and communicates performance expectations.
• Assists in developing action plans to improve operating results.
• Leads store tours during interview events and provides hiring recommendations.
• Trains and develops staff using company materials.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and maintains schedules.
• Stocks shelves and utilizes the POS system to process purchases.
• Supports KPI achievement and monitors store performance.
• Ensures a safe, clean, and customer-focused store environment.
