The Opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Project and Program Management team within our Italian office.

Arup's Project and Program Management team thrives on shaping transformative projects of every scale, from innovative products and landmark buildings to city-wide developments, right across the globe. With a solid understanding of business needs and each phase from design to tender and construction, we combine technical skills and effective communication to deliver projects that reliably meet client requirements, on schedule and within budget.

As an Assistant Project Manager at Arup, you will gain practical experience throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial planning to project completion. Working alongside a collaborative team, you will support the management of diverse commercial, scientific, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to build your coordination and communication skills, contribute to sustainable solutions, and observe how established project management methods are applied to address real-world challenges.

As a Assistant Project Manager at Arup, you will :
  • Provide comprehensive support in the day-to-day management of multidisciplinary projects, ensuring their delivery is timely, within defined scope, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Assist in coordinating project activities and tracking overall progress by preparing comprehensive reports, schedules, and records to ensure that all aspects remain aligned with the project objectives.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in upholding client trust by communicating clearly, effectively, and professionally, ensuring that client requirements are consistently met throughout every stage of the project.
  • Contribute to the preparation of tender submissions and presentations, working closely with senior team members.
  • Take part in site inspections to monitor construction progress, verifying adherence to agreed schedules and quality benchmarks.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external consultants, actively contributing to a culture of teamwork and shared success.

  • Proficiency in Office Suite programs and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite programs

  • Ability to work independently as well as good team player attitude
  • A proactive approach to developing and maintaining successful client and team relationships
  • Availability to travel within Europe
