Area Manager – International Sales (Bolton International)

Location: Milan, Italy. Employment type: Permanent. Working hours: Full time. Remote working: Hybrid model.

About the Position

We are looking for an Area Manager to join our Sales Team in Bolton International based in Italy. Internationalisation is a key growth driver for Bolton. Being part of this organization presents a significant opportunity for individuals who are goal‑oriented, data‑driven, and curious about global markets.

Responsibilities
  • Develop the sales of FMCG Portfolio (Food, Home & Personal Care) in the assigned countries, in partnership with local distributors.
  • Support the Senior Area Manager in developing the business across a wider perimeter of countries, with full P&L visibility.
  • Define the most effective business development strategy by country/category, working in close cooperation with distributor team, ensuring full compliance with Group’s guidelines.
  • Develop and implement annual business plans by country/category, managing trade, marketing and advertising budgets.
  • Track distributors performance against agreed plans and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage forecasting, analysis and reporting of sales data, broken down by product and country.
  • Monitor orders and payments, organised by distributor/category.
Team & Reporting

You will directly report to the Senior Area Manager, working in the broader team dedicated to distributors business.

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial (sales, trade marketing) or marketing role.
  • Data driven and goal oriented profile, willing to negotiate in different cultural environments.
  • Willing to travel on a regular basis.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
