LAVA—Laboratory for Visionary Architecture is a global network that questions, explores, and innovates through architecture. With studios in Berlin, Ho Chi Minh City, Stuttgart, and Sydney, LAVA fosters diversity, collaboration, and well-being—co-creating future worlds with imaginative minds focused on thoughtful futurism.

For our upcoming Expo 2030 project, a Parma-based design team is expanding. We are seeking a mid-level Architect who will work under the leadership of LAVA Co-founder Chris Bosse in Sydney and in close collaboration with our global studios.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine architectural designs from concept through to detailed documentation.
• Create 3D models, parametric systems, and visual presentations using Rhino, Grasshopper, and Revit.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and international project teams to ensure design integrity and quality.
• Support project management tasks, including timelines, deliverables, and technical coordination.
• Integrate sustainable design principles and materials into project solutions.
• Contribute to design discussions and reviews within LAVA’s global and European studio network.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
• 3–5 years of professional experience.
• Strong design and technical skills, with proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper, and Revit.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and construction processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English (additional languages is a plus.)
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated, with experience managing multiple project tasks.
• Genuine interest in LAVA’s vision of innovative, human-centered, and sustainable futures.
