Responsibilities include developing and optimizing CAD/CAM programs for milling and molds, providing technical support, and collaborating with the sales team during trade fairs. The ideal candidate has a technical degree, experience in milling technology, and strong communication skills. A permanent contract with a salary between €35,000 and €45,000 and a company car are offered.

Our client is a leading multinational manufacturer of high-precision machine tools, with a strong international presence and currently expanding in Sicily. We are looking for a technical team member:

Application Engineer – CNC Programming

The candidate will be responsible for programming and configuring machine tools, developing CAD/CAM programs, optimizing process parameters, and providing technical support for customers and international trade fairs.

Main activities:

• programming and optimizing customer parts on CNC machines (milling, molds, precision components) using Heidenhain, Siemens (Sinumerik), FANUC, and Mitsubishi controls;
• developing demonstration programs, configuring tools and clamping devices, and optimizing CNC parameters;
• pre-acceptance and acceptance of machines at the branch and at customers’ premises, with related training;
• collaborating with the sales team and providing support during demonstrations in showrooms and at national/international trade fairs.

Requirements:

• Technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or similar;
• relevant professional experience in milling technology and tools/molds;
• in-depth knowledge of CAD/CAM and CNC programming with Heidenhain, Siemens, FANUC, and Mitsubishi controls.

The profile is completed by excellent communication skills, teamwork aptitude, high flexibility, and willingness to travel, together with a good knowledge of English and MS Office.
