Are you passionate about transforming mobility through advanced thermoplastic solutions? Do you have hands‑on experience developing automotive applications (interior, exterior, engine parts…)? As part of our Innovation and R&D team, you will play a pivotal role in developing high‑performance, sustainable solutions tailored to the automotive sector. You’ll work closely with R&D project leaders, laboratory teams, and technical experts to translate market needs into innovative applications that meet the demanding requirements of automotive OEMs and Tier suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of new automotive applications using thermoplastic materials, leveraging DOMO’s expertise in polyamide technologies.
  • Translate customer and market requirements into technical specifications and development projects, ensuring alignment with automotive standards and performance criteria.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation from concept to industrialization, including material selection, prototyping, and validation.
  • Maintain strong technical relationships with automotive customers, design engineers, and development partners to ensure successful application integration.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for polyamide‑based solutions in mobility.
  • Contribute to the automotive sector’s sustainability goals by enabling lightweighting, recyclability, and reduced environmental impact through innovative material solutions.
Qualifications
  • A university degree in plastics, materials science, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in application development or technical roles within the engineering plastics industry, specifically focused on automotive applications.
  • Solid understanding of thermoplastic materials (especially polyamides) and their behavior in automotive environments (e.g., heat resistance, mechanical performance, surface finish).
  • Experience working with OEMs or Tier suppliers, including familiarity with design cycles, validation protocols, and industry standards.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
