Job summary

The Institute for Alpine Environment at Eurac Research in Bolzano/Bozen, Italy, invites applications for a researcher to work at the science-policy interface on biodiversity monitoring and nature restoration for BEAGLE and Alp-BiodivActionPlan. The successful candidate will divide time between the two projects and engage with stakeholders across Europe.

You will map stakeholders, design surveys and interviews, support workshops, and contribute to dissemination efforts, with a 24-month initial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in an environmental field.
• Experience with stakeholder mapping, engagement approaches and mixed-method research.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills for data handling.
• Knowledge of European biodiversity and environmental policy.
• Excellent written and oral communication; English fluent; German preferred; Italian/French/Slovenian assets.
• Willingness to travel 3–4 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Map and engage stakeholders across biodiversity monitoring and restoration.
• Design and conduct surveys and interviews to assess needs and barriers.
• Develop engagement strategies to integrate BEAGLE methods into monitoring schemes.
• Plan and facilitate workshops and dissemination activities.
