Job Description

Location: Fiumicino Airport - Cargo City


Schedule: 20 hrs/week – Rotating shifts



  • AM Shift: 04:30 – 08:30

  • PM Shift: 19:30 – 23:30



About The Role

As a Ramp Assistant at UPS, you’ll be part of the team that ensures safe and efficient aircraft operations. Responsibilities include supervising loading and unloading activities, maintaining proper weight and balance, and coordinating with multiple teams to keep everything running smoothly.



You’ll Work Closely With


  • Ramp vendors (aircraft service providers)

  • UPS Maintenance

  • UPS Sort/Ramp employees

  • Report directly to Ramp team leader



What You’ll Do


  • Supervise aircraft loading/unloading activities.

  • Ensure correct weight and balance distribution for flight safety.

  • Coordinate with ramp vendors, UPS maintenance, and UPS teams members.

  • Monitor compliance with UPS and airline procedures.

  • Problem solving

  • Report operational issues promptly and accurately.



What You’ll Need


  • High school diploma or international equivalent.

  • Active driver license and own car.

  • Ability to work outdoors and handle physical tasks.

  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).

  • Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork—because timing and accuracy are everything.

  • High degree of problem solving

  • Valid Italian working visa in case of foreign application.

Working hours

Part Time 20hrs (bi-weekly shift)


Monday to Friday (including Holidays)


AM Shift: 4:30 to 8:30


PM Shift: 19:30 to 23:30


Note: If a holiday falls within your scheduled work week, it will be considered a working day at extra payment.
