MDOTM Ltd in Milan is seeking a Data Scientist to join its Research and Development Team. The role focuses on designing AI models at the core of fintech solutions, blending advanced mathematics, ML, and scalable coding.

You will work with scientists and engineers to develop proprietary AI models and contribute to investment strategies and internal modeling tools. Fluency in English is required, and experience with ML, LLMs, and data pipelines is preferred.

Competenze

• Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Experience with Python to design and implement data-driven solutions.
• Experience using LLMs to accelerate development and validate generated code.
• Strong grasp of programming principles and software development.

Mansioni

• Design, build, and optimize end-to-end AI pipelines for predictive and prescriptive analytics in financial markets.
• Formulate hypotheses, identify intermediate milestones, and meet deadlines for long-term research goals.
• Own the full model lifecycle, from data selection to deployment and maintenance.
• Develop and execute rigorous validation frameworks (backtesting, walk-forward analysis) for robustness.
• Conduct in-depth research by formulating testable hypotheses and driving progress toward R&D goals.
• Build and maintain automated systems to monitor data quality, model health, and detect drift.
• Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure seamless integration between data pipelines and modeling logic.
• Research and deliver insights related to risk exposures, portfolio construction, and quantitative analysis of the investment process.
• Apply divergent thinking to overcome bottlenecks and optimize data retrieval and processing workflows.
