YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley seeks a Group Teacher to support site directors in delivering quality programs for school-age children. You will tutor, plan activities, supervise children, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment aligned with Y values.

Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, maintaining records, and participating in staff meetings while upholding safety and program standards across YMCA sites.

Competenze

• CPR, First Aid and AED Certification
• Over the age of 18
• Must meet all Association-Wide training requirements
• Pass a Nationwide Criminal and Sex Offender Registry Background Screening
• Provide a safe environment reflecting Y’s values
• Meet qualifications to be a Teacher per NYS licensing requirements

• Establish positive relationships with parents, children, school personnel and staff
• Be a positive role model
• Review tutoring needs with District School Teachers
• Plan and implement quality curriculum and lesson plans including arts, crafts, games, and snacks
• Supervise children and maintain safety at all times
• Maintain a clean, safe site and manage housekeeping
• Attend YMCA staff meetings and participate in program activities
• Keep attendance, newsletters, and lesson plans up to date and meet deadlines
• Follow policies and procedures including substitute policy and abuse reporting

Associate's degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or related field

School-age Child Care Credential or equivalent
