Sandvik AB is seeking an Aerospace and Machining Specialist to shape the global aerospace segment strategy. You will connect industry trends with business development, portfolio priorities and innovation on a global scale, driving growth and organizational capability through a consistent approach.

You will identify high-value markets, lead cross-functional initiatives, and monitor performance with KPIs and dashboards.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing or aerospace engineering, or related field.
• Strong expertise in aerospace machining applications and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in segment management, business development or product management.
• Proficiency with CRM and Power BI and BI tools; strong analytical skills.
• Fluent English and ability to travel internationally.

About The Job

You define and drive our global aerospace strategy. Acting as a subject-matter expert, you connect industry trends, customer needs and machining applications with business development, portfolio priorities and innovation. Through a consistent global approach, you build organizational capability and translate market opportunities into strategic growth initiatives.

• Define and maintain the global aerospace segment strategy, growth plans, and business development initiatives.
• Identify and prioritize high-value markets, applications, customer targets, and strategic opportunities.
• Build the global aerospace opportunity pipeline and establish customer-focused value propositions and solutions.
• Influence product portfolio and innovation priorities through market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer needs.
• Lead cross-functional growth initiatives and support strategic customer engagements and major projects.
• Monitor segment performance through KPIs, dashboards and business reviews, aligning regional plans with the global strategy.

Location & flexibility

This position is flexible within the Americas and Europe. Extensive travel is part of the job.

Your profile

With extensive experience from aerospace manufacturing, machining, cutting tools or metal cutting, you understand both the technical and commercial sides of the industry. You’ve developed and executed growth strategies in a global environment and know how to turn analysis into focused action.

Your background includes

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing or aerospace engineering, or another relevant engineering or business field.
• Strong expertise in aerospace machining applications and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in segment management, business development, product management, technical sales or application engineering.
• Proficiency with CRM, Power BI and business intelligence tools, alongside strong analytical and market assessment capabilities.
• Fluent English, a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally, including overnight and extended travel.

EU Pay Transparency Decree for applicants from Italy

NCBA category and classification: NCBA for the Tertiary Commerce Sector, Impiegato, 1°- 2° level.

Initial salary for the pay range of reference: starting from 50.000 Eur gross per year, individual bonus, local profit-sharing bonus.

The actual salary offered will be determined based on various factors, such as internal pay equity, market benchmarks, responsibilities, experience, and skills of the selected candidates.
