Advanced Program Manager for Rolls-Royce, LM6000 and Safran operations

As Advanced Program Manager you will be responsible for managing Rolls‑Royce, LM6000 programmes and operations aspects of Safran programmes. It is a Program Management position that will be part of the External Commercial Programs OTR Team. In this role you will be Customer Advocate in Avio Aero and will drive programmes to meet the company’s goals and targets, contributing to set the most effective organisation and identifying and mitigating financial risks.
Essential Responsibilities
For the Rolls Royale and LM6000 Safran programmes
- Responsible for the execution of programme (New Make), maximising benefits and opportunities in the contract, also being the first point of contact for new initiatives.
- Create and execute an integrated plan to meet company economics/financial and contractual targets within the allocated budget, including margin expansion initiatives.
- Define, update and monitor budget, business plan, economics (REV, GM, etc.), financials (collection, etc.) and programme KPI (OTD, VoC, etc.).
- Conduct regular risk assessments and oversee the execution of mitigation activities to address key risks.
- Establish and nurture long‑lasting customer relationships, enhancing satisfaction on current programmes and identifying opportunities for new initiatives.
- Lead the cross‑functional programme team (ENG, GSC, QUA, etc.).
- Responsible for the flow‑down of Customer Demand to GSC.
- Support PCB preparation as needed across all company levels, including senior leadership.
- Support the commercial team during all phases of an offer, starting from the customer’s needs through negotiations, until the hand‑over at the kick‑off meeting.
- Support the preparation of programme reviews with the customer, in accordance with contractual and customer expectations.
- Monitor the programme progress (reporting relevant KPIs, EV, etc.) at the operating rhythm (MOR, QMI, Cash Flow, …).
- Update, review and maintain business plans; provide timely internal reporting in accordance with defined standards, and continually review processes to ensure overall efficiency.
- Delegated for approval, signature and archiving of the documentation sent to the customer (PO acceptance, official letters, etc.), as per DoA list.
- Responsible for the cash collection from the customers and the recovery of any past due.
- Leverage the FLIGHT DECK approach in process management to maximise execution quality.
- Act as Change Manager during the incorporation of new modifications, ensuring alignment with timelines, costs and customer needs.
For the Leap and CFM56 programmes
- Responsible for the Leap and CFM56 on consignment stock (OCS), both reporting updates to Finance and the leadership and managing actively input and output through continuous work with the customer and the Avio Aero shops, to contain the OCS level and meet the company goals.
- Lead the cross‑functional programme team (ENG, GSC, QUA, etc.) to sustain the ramp of Leap volumes the upcoming years and for all the manufacturing topics.
- Liaise with engineering and supply chain team to integrate the mid‑life upgrade initiative of Leap, preventing risk and production ramp disruption.
- Lead the regular review with the supply chain to monitor the status of deliveries to Safran, specifically on Leap, addressing any rising issue, anticipating potential future disruption and reporting status to the leadership.
- Responsible for the ramp‑up of the CFM56 conical support according to the agreed plan and budgeted quantities.
- Execute activities to address customer concerns to maximise customer satisfaction (through the Safran supply chain POC).
- Responsible for the flow‑down of Customer Demand to GSC.
- Support customers in their needs following the contract requirement: industrialisation process; technical support; equipment requirement.
- Support the preparation of programme reviews with customer, in accordance with the contractual and customer expectations.
- Monitor the programme progress (reporting relevant KPIs, EV, etc.) at the operating rhythm.
Qualifications / Requirements
- STEM Master’s degree from an accredited university.
- Solid experience in management of complex projects in a structured company.
- Good risk management and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lead across functional and customer/supplier teams, both on‑site and remotely.
- Strong communication skills with all levels of internal and external customer organisations, including top management.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team/organisation.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and expertise in risk management.
- Fluent in written and spoken Italian and English.
- Work visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required.
