The Accounting & Tax Coordinator is responsible for overseeing statutory and tax activities, general ledger accounting, and compliance with local regulations. This role includes supervising the preparation of statutory financial statements, ensuring accurate asset and inventory accounting, reporting to the MEF, oversight of the SIOPE and the PCC, and maintaining effective collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders
General Ledger and Statutory Accounting
- Provide operational coordination for statutory and tax activities.
- Supervise day‑to‑day general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
- Prepare and close statutory financial statements in compliance with Italian local GAAPs (HT, CITT and GRANTS).
- Manage accounting entries for financial statements and ensure balancing of the general ledger.
Asset and Inventory Management
- Oversee day‑to‑day asset and inventory accounting and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations (HT and CITT).
- Maintain coordination with real estate, warehouse, and asset managers to monitor physical units.
- Define the setup and management of SAP applications for asset and inventory accounting.
- Manage and update the asset and inventory registers.
Tax Compliance and Reporting
- Manage all tax and legal compliance obligations and declarations in collaboration with A/P and Treasury teams.
- Prepare reporting packages for MEF and other public obligations (e.g., ISTAT, IPA).
- Provide support to tax consultants and auditors (internal and external).
A/R
- Coordinate the active cycle, billing schedule, ensures the issuance of invoices/debit notes.
- Monitors credit recovery, manages reminders.
Systems and Process Optimization
- Monitor and analyze the Commercial Credit Platform.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to improve accounting processes and systems.
Internal Relations: HR, Procurement, Research, Grant office, Strategy and Scientific Affairs
External Relations: Supplier, Audit, MEF and other institutions, Consultants and advisors
Requisiti:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in statutory accounting, tax, or general ledger roles.
- In-depth knowledge of statutory accounting, tax compliance, and local GAAP requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
