Job summary

SME Careers is seeking an Accounting Subject Matter Expert to work remotely on an hourly contractor basis. You will review AI-generated accounting responses and create expert content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and GAAP/IFRS compliance across diverse scenarios.

The role requires a CPA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent strong plus, 5+ years of accounting experience, and ability to write clear explanations for complex journal entries and month-end closes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required.
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Experience with revenue/expense recognition, accruals, payroll and taxes.
• Ability to prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI training content with detailed prompts and outputs.
• Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, clarity and GAAP/IFRS adherence.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, bias and reliability across scenarios.
