Street Smash Burgers in Milan seeks an Accountant to build the Italian company's numbers, handling day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT, and revenue across stores. You will work with Headquarters and AI/automation tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

You will be the first accounting hire in Italy, reporting to Madrid HQ, with support from a local tax advisor and structured onboarding from day one. This role includes ERP implementation and close collaboration with auditors and departments.

Competenze

• 2+ years of Italian accounting experience.
• Accounting diploma (Ragioneria) and/or Economics degree.
• Excellent knowledge of OIC and VAT obligations.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Experience with management software/ERP.
• Native Italian; English at least B2.
• Accurate, reliable and deadline-driven.
• Ability to work independently and liaise with multiple departments.

Mansioni

Street Smash Burgers is looking for an Accountant for our Italian company, in Milan.

This isn't your usual accounting job. Here you'll build the foundations of Street's numbers in Italy: day-to-day bookkeeping (prima nota), VAT, revenue from stores opening one after another. You'll work closely with Headquarters and with AI and automation tools in your daily work (yes, in accounting too). A bit of everything. And that's how we like it.

The role

You'll manage the accounting of the Italian company, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and compliance with tax obligations. You'll be the first accounting hire in Italy, reporting directly to Madrid (Headquarters), with the support of a local tax advisor and structured onboarding from day one.

Key responsibilities

• General accounting (day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable).
• Recording electronic invoices (SDI) and bank reconciliations.
• Managing tax obligations: VAT/LiPe, F24, electronic receipts (corrispettivi telematici), tax and administrative deadlines.
• Monitoring and verifying store revenue (high transaction volumes: daily takings, delivery, meal vouchers, cards).
• Support in preparing the annual financial statements.
• Support in implementing the group's new ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central): opening balances, master data, testing.
• Working with the tax advisor, auditors and Headquarters.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in Italian accounting.
• Accounting diploma (Ragioneria) and/or a degree in Economics.
• Excellent knowledge of Italian accounting principles (OIC) and VAT obligations.
• Excellent command of Excel.
• Experience with management software/ERP.
• Native-level Italian; English at B2 level (daily use with Headquarters).
• Accuracy, reliability and respect for deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and liaise with different departments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Experience in the restaurant or multi-site retail sector.
• Experience in cost accounting or management control.
• Familiarity with analysis and automation tools (Python, R, AI tools).
• Good knowledge of Spanish.
