Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Health - Pee Dee Division seeks experienced Internal Medicine physicians for academic opportunities in Florence, SC. Core Faculty will contribute to growing the new Internal Medicine Residency Program at MUSC Health - Florence Medical Center.

Core Faculty will report to the Residency Program Director and split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care while mentoring residents and developing curriculum and evaluation tools to ensure

• Split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care.
• Mentor and advise residents.
• Participate in resident selection, orientation, and evaluation.
• Develop curriculum and evaluation tools.
• Promote internal medicine and the residency program.
• Provide appropriate levels of resident supervision to ensure patient safety.
• Support program leadership in policy implementation.
• Incorporate and apply ACGME Milestones into evaluation tools.
• Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees.
• Deliver structured educational activities as requested by APD or PD.
• Engage in resident scholarship with a goal of one scholarly project per year.
• Participate in faculty development initiatives.
