Canadian School of Florence is seeking a Guidance Counselor/Vice Principal of Academics for Grades 7–12. The role combines academic guidance, personal and career counseling, and oversight of the upper school’s programs to align with Growing Success: Assessment, Evaluation, and Reporting in Ontario Schools.

Competenze

• Qualified Teacher Status with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Ontario or equivalent).
• Ontario Guidance AQ, Part 1 (or equivalent certification in guidance counseling).
• Experience leading academic programs and student support services.
• Experience in secondary/international school settings is an asset.

Mansioni

• Provide academic and career guidance to students in Grades 7-12, including course selections and post‑secondary planning.
• Monitor student progress and develop intervention strategies with teachers and parents.
• Organise university/college visits and career exploration activities.
• Oversee academic programming and ensure alignment with Ontario curriculum and Growing Success.
• Support professional development of faculty and liaising with senior leadership and parents.
