Proxaut S.r.L. designs and manufactures AGV/LGV for industrial automation and advanced logistics. We seek a Mechanical Designer to develop frames, assemblies and sub-assemblies for AGVs and automated handling systems.

The role involves drafting components, BOM creation, and collaboration across engineering teams. The candidate should have a degree in mechanical/mechatronic engineering or a related diploma, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of 3D CAD (preferably Inventor).

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering, or technical diploma.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the AGV sector; or intralogistics/automation.
• Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD software, preferably Inventor, and design of fabricated structures and mechanical parts.
• Ability to create complex assemblies and complete manufacturing drawings with tolerances and finishes.
• Good knowledge of metallic materials, surface treatments, tolerances and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of mechanical and safety standards.
• Familiarity with FEM analysis and structural calculations is advantageous.
• Teamwork attitude, accuracy and initiative.
• Knowledge of technical English, reading drawings and specifications.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Mechanical Designer with a passion for technology and the design of complex solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• 3D mechanical design of frames, assemblies and sub-assemblies for AGVs and automated handling systems.
• Modelling and drafting of components, including fabricated structures, moving parts, welded and machined structures.
• Preparation of manufacturing drawings and bills of materials (BOM).
• Support for mechanical integration with electrical, electronic and pneumatic systems.
• Collaboration with automation and production teams to optimise manufacturability and assembly.
• Review and control of technical documentation.
• Participation in prototyping, assembly and testing activities.
• Technical analysis of non-conformities and proposal of improvement solutions.
