As a Privacy Officer at Bulgari S.p.A., you will act as a senior subject matter expert in data protection and privacy, playing a key role in safeguarding the Group’s global compliance with privacy regulations and shaping its privacy and data ethics posture.
Operating with significant autonomy and high visibility across the organization, you will partner with the Data Protection Officer and lead the execution and continuous evolution of the privacy program, with accountability for strategic initiatives, regulatory risk management, stakeholder alignment, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to executive and senior leadership teams on data privacy, data ethics, and regulatory compliance.
• Support the implementation and maturity of Bulgari’s Global Privacy Framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and group policies.
• Support privacy initiatives like Privacy by Design, DPIAs, and global Records of Processing Activities.
• Identify and assess emerging privacy risks from new technologies and regulatory changes.
• Ensure compliance with international data protection laws and standards, acting as escalation point for high-risk activities.
• Manage privacy investigations and data breach responses in collaboration with Legal, IT Security, and Risk.
• Monitor global privacy legislation changes and translate them into operational updates.
• Evaluate third-party privacy risks through TPRM assessments.
• Improve privacy operations, including automation of consent management and data subject rights.
• Use technology to enforce governance and report on KPIs and program effectiveness.
• Develop and refine privacy policies, SOPs, and training programs.
• Lead privacy projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Promote a privacy-aware culture through training and leadership engagement.
• Advocate for ethical data use and transparency.
• Mentor privacy professionals and contribute to knowledge sharing within the department.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Master’s degree in Law, Information Security, Data Governance, Technology, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in Privacy and Data Protection, preferably in regulated environments.
• Experience leading privacy programs across multiple geographies.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR, AI Act, Data Act, with a practical focus.
• Familiarity with global data protection laws and their application.
• Experience supporting DPO roles or providing privacy advice.
• Handling cross-border data transfers and assessments.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
Technical & Analytical Skills
• Proficiency with privacy management tools like OneTrust, MS Office.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle governance, discovery, classification, and GRC tools.
• Understanding of cloud, cybersecurity, and third-party ecosystems.
Certifications
• IAPP certifications (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, FIP).
• Additional certifications like ISO/IEC 27701, CISM, or CIPP are a plus.
