Responsibilities
As an Azure Data Engineer at NTT Data, you will support customers in Big Data projects, collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcomes. You will handle data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.

The Azure Data Engineer understands cloud-native environments, is innovative in solving daily issues, and shares solutions with the team. You will bridge Data Science and Data Engineering, understanding both fields.

Required Skills

• Experience in a cloud-native environment on at least one of the major public clouds (GCP/AWS/Azure); 5+ years on Azure preferred
• Knowledge of Big Data architectures, both cloud and on-premise
• Azure infrastructure and networking experience
• Proven ability to build and deliver proofs-of-concept addressing specific business needs using appropriate techniques and technologies
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud
• Monitoring distributed infrastructure with Azure tools or open-source options (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus)
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, shell scripting
• SQL knowledge
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Kanban
• Leadership experience with medium-sized teams
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Apache Spark, Databricks, and other Azure ETL/ELT tools
• Microsoft Certification: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Additional Big Data certifications (Cloudera, Databricks, etc.)
• Experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT tools (Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica)
• Experience with Data Visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau)
