He/She oversees all maintenance activities across the plant, including buildings, production lines, and equipment - in compliance with workplace safety, environment regulations, and quality standards.

Main Activities

• In accordance with the Operations Director, define the needed standards to monitor production trends, ensuring the results forecasted in budget and implementing any corrective actions;
• Ensure proper upkeep of all plant infrastructure, including service water, waste treatment, energy production (gas, hot water), and utilities;
• Manage all administrative processes for obtaining necessary permits and approvals for construction, maintenance, and plant improvements;
• Oversee both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance operations;
• Lead automation projects, particularly in areas such as mixing, which currently involves manual ingredient handling, while other sections (e.g., sterilisers and filling machines) are highly automated;
• Work closely with suppliers for maintenance and facility expansion projects;
• Handle CapEx-related discussions, though ultimate CapEx responsibility lies with the Operations Director.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or any equivalent qualification
• Minimum 5 years work experience in industrial contexts/food industry
• Prior exposure to dairy / food processing would be an asset
• Familiarity with UHT environment
