Purchase Manager, Italy (Maternity Cover)

The purpose of this position is to assist with any tasks associated with the purchasing and planning of materials and assist in tracking costs and materials for our projects.

Tasks :

• Maintain a system of ordering materials, supplies, and equipment;
• Process returns and credits, coordinates material pickup if applicable;
• Contractor and Vendor invoice problem resolution;
• Confirmation of order quantity, pricing, and availability;
• Create purchase orders and ensure accuracy of orders;
• Communicate orders to vendors;
• Coordinate proof of delivery / pick tickets;
• Assist with standardization compliance of routing guidelines;
• Create reports as needed for specific projects;
• Track project specific costs;
• Manage insurance policies and related issues;
• Manage company car fleet and related issues;
• Manage KYC documentation.

Job practicalities / Skills and qualifications :

• Project based purchasing / project management skills;
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, verbal and written;
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Ability to be proactive, take initiative, handle multiple responsibilities, and ensure follow-through;
• Ability to create and maintain positive interpersonal relationships;
• Degree in Economics or related is preferred.
