Project Engineer - Europe

An international fast-growing independent power producer is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in PV, wind, and BESS. The company specializes in the initiation, development, financing, construction, management, and operation of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage. Operations are based in Israel and Europe, with a diversified portfolio exceeding 2.0 GW of current projects and an additional 20 GW / 30 GWh in development stages.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering involving external and internal stakeholders, consultants, and engineering companies.
• Define solar PV design criteria to optimize costs and performance.
• Perform solar resource assessments and energy production estimates using PVsyst and other tools.
• Support procurement phases technically, including RFPs, contract negotiations with equipment suppliers, and BoP/EPC contractors.
• Assess new investment opportunities through feasibility analyses and technical advisory.
• Collaborate with departments such as Procurement, Business Development, Project Development, Construction, and Operations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in enhancing internal processes.
• This role may also involve exposure to other renewable technologies like Green Hydrogen.

Requirements

• Experience in PV systems.
• Strong understanding of PV design principles.
• Experience with Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) – Advantage.
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) – Advantage.
• Technical project management experience.
• Experience during the contractual phase of renewable energy projects.
• Familiarity with project development processes is preferred.
• Experience with high voltage connections and substations – Advantage.
• Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), with strong communication skills.
• Proactive, well-structured, capable of managing external engineering teams and advisors.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and presentations.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative, multidisciplinary teams and independently.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
