Job Description

The Engineering Director will oversee all aspects of the company's design and engineering operations, ensuring that the department delivers outstanding products and services to both internal and external stakeholders. This role involves leading and managing two dedicated teams focused on:

1. Quotation preparation, ensuring the preparation of detailed and accurate quotations that are both technically sound and commercially viable;
2. Solution design, ensuring the development of manufacturable solutions that fully comply with relevant regulations (ATEX and IECEx) and meet customer needs and the company's profitability targets.

This role encompasses a broad mission, focusing on both present and future objectives:

1. Managing and optimizing current engineering operations to ensure proposals are competitive, delivered promptly, and manufacturing projects are accurate and suitable for production by the company's team or external subcontractors;
2. Promoting and driving engineering-related projects and initiatives to future-proof the company's operations, focusing on human capital development, staff skill enhancement, and process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

• In-depth knowledge of the Low Voltage Directive, ATEX Directive, and IECEx standards to ensure compliance and safety of all engineered and produced products and solutions.
• Strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering to guide and support the team in designing systems for hazardous areas.
• Extensive knowledge of 3D modeling and CAD/CAM technology to lead strategic projects transforming the organization.
• Experience serving EPC and OEM clients, including solution conception, quoting, ensuring manufacturability, assisting production, and providing final technical documentation.
• Proficiency in English language.
