Senior Business Intelligence Specialist

Description G-nous, a dynamic and innovative company, is seeking a talented and driven Senior Business Intelligence Specialist to join its team, working directly with the European Space Agency (ESA). You will play a pivotal role in supporting ESA's data-driven decision-making processes through your advanced expertise in Power BI and transforming complex data into actionable insights. You will provide critical support for ESA's Industrial Policy, Analytics, and Geographical Return initiatives.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain insightful and visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI to track KPIs and business trends.
2. Lead end-to-end ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring data quality and consistency.
3. Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of ESA's initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
4. Analyze ESA's business challenges related to Industrial Policy, Analytics, and Geographical Return, providing data-driven recommendations.
5. Translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring seamless implementation and alignment with ESA's objectives.
6. Maintain continuous communication with client stakeholders to plan activities, address issues, or implement changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including advanced DAX, data modeling, and visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps.
• Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Good presentation and public speaking skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with technical and functional documentation creation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, for data storage and processing.
• Working knowledge of Tableau or other data visualization tools.
• Good SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
• Prior experience working in a consulting firm or with governmental agencies.
