Our current network comprises production, research & development, sales, and diagnostic facilities in 10 countries : Vaxxinova aims at providing a full range of both autogenous and licensed vaccines combined with high-level diagnostic services, supported by strong R&D. Our production facility in Chignolo Po, Italy focuses on the development and production of poultry and aqua vaccines to support the European, African, and Asian markets.

Vaxxinova belongs to the EW Group, a German based family-owned company, specialized in animal genetics, animal nutrition and animal health.

In this role, you will be placed within the Process development Unit, occupying the position of laboratory technician. You will mainly participate and contribute to formulation development projects in the field of lyophilisation of veterinary immunological products; you will also be involved in the development of new production processes and analytical tests of veterinary vaccines, as well as in the improvement of existing processes and tests, under the supervision of the project manager. Research projects include several areas of expertise, including virology, cell biology, serology, microbiology, formulation and molecular biology.

Develop, plan and execute lyophilisation and formulation tests of immunological products, both for new vaccines and existing productions

Plan and perform laboratory tests and biological / pharmaceutical analyses in collaboration with the project manager

Draw up and execute experimental protocols and study reports in collaboration with the project manager

Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in scientific discipline

Previous experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in a pharmaceutical company

Previous experience in production process development and analytical testing

Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken

Experience in the use and maintenance of pilot and / or industrial freeze-dryers

Experience in the use and maintenance of pilot and / or industrial turbo-emulsor

Previous experience in the field of animal health

Experience in industrial process development for vaccines in the veterinary / human field
