Job Description

Kite, a Gilead Company, is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in developing innovative cancer immunotherapies with the goal of providing rapid, long-term durable responses and eliminating the burden of chronic care. The company focuses on chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) and T cell receptor (TCR) engineered cell therapies designed to empower the immune system's ability to recognize and kill tumors.

Kite is currently expanding its team to provide maximum access to patients with unmet needs.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Scientist to join our Medical Affairs organization in Italy. This role reports to the Medical Scientist Lead, is field-based, and covers the regions of Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto Adige, and part of Lombardia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to physicians and healthcare stakeholders with accurate, balanced, and non-promotional scientific information about licensed and unlicensed products and indications.
  • Build awareness of the healthcare landscape in the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Establish strategic relationships with medical and scientific experts, working with regional and national specialists on various projects.
  • Generate insights through scientific discussions with clinicians and researchers.
  • Provide education on patient selection and support medical management through scientific exchange.
  • Deliver impactful presentations using scientific resources across various settings.
  • Support qualification of Centers and deliver Risk Management Plan training at these centers.
  • Assist with clinical and real-world evidence studies.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Affairs team both nationally and internationally.
  • Work cross-functionally with Kite and Gilead teams.
  • Contribute to educational programs and materials.
  • Travel frequently for appointments, meetings, and conferences, including international travel.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD).
  • Ability to uphold Kite's patient-centric, ethical, and compliant values.
  • Growth mindset and adaptability to change.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic scientific environment.
  • Scientific or clinical knowledge in Hemato-Oncology, Cell Therapy, or related fields.
  • Established network of thought leaders in Italy (preferred).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical Medical Affairs.
  • Experience working in an international environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills in Italian and English.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
