On behalf of our Client, a well-established expanding Audit firm, GRS Recruitment is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their expanding team in Nicosia. If you have the necessary skills and experience, GRS looks forward to receiving your CV for this Nicosia-based Senior Accountant role.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintain books and records and manage a portfolio of clients (both local and mainly international business)
2. Have good knowledge and understanding of VAT legislation
3. Deal with complex accounting transactions and advise on recording of records
4. Liaise with auditors and ensure the accuracy of the accounting information to be handed over
5. Review/oversee a portfolio of accounting clients (depending on level of experience)
6. Train and coach new Trainee Employees
7. Prepare the audit file and Financial Statements (using Caseware) for submission to auditors

CANDIDATE PROFILE

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related field
2. ACCA/ACA qualification or part-qualified candidates will be considered an added advantage
3. Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience in client accounting is essential
4. Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages
