As a Maintenance Technician II, you will perform basic tasks and repairs within the fulfillment center, including work on conveyors, PIT equipment, and general building maintenance. This requires a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Familiarity with AC / DC systems and the ability to use a voltmeter are also necessary.
You will report to the Facilities Area Manager and work onsite in our Florence, SC fulfillment center. The hours will be from 6am to 6:30pm on a rotating 3 on, 3 off schedule.
Your Responsibilities
- Building Maintenance: Perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repair. Maintain dock doors, dock locks, and dock plates to ensure proper operation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct planned and unplanned repairs, preventative maintenance on production equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building systems. Identify and address safety hazards and potential issues proactively.
- Conveyor, Automation, and Sorter Systems: Support repairs and maintenance to keep conveyors and sorter equipment operational. Assist with system repairs as needed.
- Electrical: Understand AC and DC systems, use a voltage meter, and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
- System Installation and Repair: Assist with the installation of new or replacement equipment alongside team leaders and contractors.
- Record Keeping: Use CMMS systems to accurately document time, parts, and repair data. Read technical manuals and document changes.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school courses or certifications in electrical, controls, plumbing, welding, or military technical training preferred.
- At least 6 months of experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Familiarity with voltage meters and AC / DC systems is preferred.
