About the role

We are seeking a mechanical engineer to join our Engineering department. The successful candidate will work alongside Senior Mechanical Designers, managing projects from concept to completion, to develop full autonomy. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

• Design mechanical components as well as small machine groups.
• Modify existing machine groups and design mechanical parts.
• Draft relevant technical documentation.
• Support the assembly department for ongoing modifications.
• Collaborate closely with the Electronics Department.

The position is based in Castel Maggiore (Bologna, Italy).

What you need to be successful

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong interest in designing activities and an innate aptitude for working with customers and colleagues. You are a team player. Additionally, you should:

• Hold a Technical high school diploma; a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field is a plus.
• Have at least 3 years of experience, preferably in automation machinery.
• Know parametric designing tools; understanding of Creo Modeling and CAD tools is considered a plus.
• Be willing to learn SAP and Oracle; existing knowledge is a plus.
• Be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Be open to potential business trips (15-20%).
• Be handy, flexible, and curious.
