The Utilities Maintenance Engineer will be the main point of contact with external providers, ensuring the management and control of services related to the maintenance of the Headquarters' utilities (energy, water, gas, etc.), to guarantee their quality and efficiency. They will also be responsible for managing PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) practices, coordinating with entities for photovoltaic practices, and developing and implementing plant projects. The Coordinator will work closely with various company functions to ensure that all activities are aligned with company objectives and comply with current regulations. Additionally, they must be trained on electrical systems, have knowledge in workplace safety and site management in compliance with Title IV, and have a good understanding of issues related to Building Management Systems (BMS) for civil buildings. Experience with BMS systems is preferred but not required, and a basic knowledge of automation systems is necessary. Knowledge of project management techniques and procedures for managing company projects is also required.
Main Responsibilities
- Utilities Maintenance Service Management: Coordinate and monitor the maintenance activities of company utilities, collaborating with external providers to ensure that services (energy, water, gas, etc.) are always operational and meet company standards.
- PED Practices Management: Supervise the management of practices related to the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), ensuring that plants and equipment comply with safety regulations and that practices are managed correctly.
- Photovoltaic Practices Management: Coordinate administrative and regulatory practices for photovoltaics, interfacing with competent entities to ensure that all authorizations and certifications are in order and that the photovoltaic system operates in compliance with local regulations. Additionally, monitor the production and efficiency of the photovoltaic system using dedicated software and systems to ensure optimal performance and promptly identify any anomalies or inefficiencies.
- Development and Implementation of Plant Projects: Manage and coordinate the development of plant projects, ensuring they are designed, implemented, and monitored according to company needs and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the progress of maintenance activities and plant projects, providing regular reports on performance, timelines, and costs relative to budgets and set objectives. This also includes monitoring the energy and production performance of photovoltaic plants, with detailed reports on performance and maintenance management.
- Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities and projects comply with current safety and environmental regulations, promoting a safe and compliant work environment.
- Use of BMS Monitoring Systems: Have a good understanding of issues related to the use of Building Management Systems (BMS) for civil buildings, ensuring the proper functioning and energy efficiency of plants.
- Electrical Systems Training: Be trained and have a good knowledge of company electrical systems, including applicable safety regulations and standards.
- Site Management in Compliance with Title IV: Manage and supervise site activities in compliance with the safety regulations provided by Title IV of Legislative Decree 81/2008, ensuring that all safety practices are respected and that work is carried out safely.
Experience Required
At least 3 years of experience in similar roles, focusing on utilities management and plant projects.
Experience in managing and supervising sites in compliance with the safety regulations of Title IV (Legislative Decree 81/2008).
Education
Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
Languages
Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken).
Technical Skills
- Automation Experience: Basic knowledge of automation systems and their applications in the building sector to improve operational and energy efficiency.
- Knowledge of regulations related to the PED Directive and photovoltaics.
- Experience in managing plant projects, from planning to implementation.
- Knowledge of issues related to BMS monitoring systems for civil buildings. Experience with BMS is preferred but not required.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems and related safety regulations
- Good knowledge of project management techniques and procedures for managing company projects.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations for plants and utilities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with photovoltaic plants, production monitoring, and performance management.
Knowledge of monitoring and management systems for utilities.
Experience with BMS is preferred but not required.
Soft Skills
Excellent coordination and resource management skills, with a strong orientation towards results and problem-solving.
