For our dynamic growing, innovative Brands division within an already established big generic International pharmaceutical company, we are looking for an experienced Medical Affairs field professional who dares to look outside the clear-cut frames of a common big pharma MSL job and who wants to operate in an autonomous entrepreneurial way. This job offers you the opportunity to develop in the broadest sense by being engaged in all aspects of the business and manage your own daily work.

You will join a team of 3 Medical Managers in Italy, and you will be responsible for the Medical Affairs strategy and execution of Medical projects, as well as providing Medical Affairs support to Sales and Marketing colleagues, with a demonstrable affinity for identifying commercial opportunities. You live in Italy and are able to speak English for communication with the European Management team. You will report to the Lead Medical Managers Europe, with the European offices located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Major tasks & responsibilities

  1. Develop Medical Affairs strategy and execute scientific projects such as publications and advisory boards.
  2. Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs and other influencers, utilizing scientific and evidence-based information.
  3. Support the development and launch of products in melanoma through scientific exchange.
  4. Assist Early Access Program requests from HCPs in Italy for melanoma patients.
  5. Support business activities related to Odomzo (sonidegib) for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma.
  6. Lead the approval process for investigator-initiated trials and monitor their progress.
  7. Disseminate clinical and scientific information about marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely, compliant, and ethical manner.
  8. Build and support networks in Derma-oncology and other potential therapeutic areas.
  9. Communicate emerging data to experts and respond to healthcare professional inquiries.
  10. Assist colleagues in organizing HCP events by providing medical content support.

Education Qualifications (Graduate- Post Graduate)

  • Mandatory: (bio)medical or scientific academic degree.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of MSL or Medical Manager experience in the innovative pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least one year of experience in a commercial function within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Native Italian speaker and fluent in English.
  • Experience with Early Access Programs in Italy.
