Reporting to the EMEA Sales Leader based in Germany, the Sales Manager Auto Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) is responsible for managing and expanding our customer portfolio across European countries.
Main responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact point for our organization in front of the customer
Develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers, influencers, decision makers, and sponsors through daily interactions
Understand and proactively analyze customer’s product and service needs
Recognize, anticipate, and collaboratively solve customer problems
Utilize extensive knowledge of customer needs and our product offerings to develop account strategies and plans
Identify, assess, and prioritize initiatives for value growth and operational excellence to increase Trinseo's market share
Monitor, track, and report monthly progress against agreed indicators
Manage the sales process including contracts, pricing agreements, volume commitments, rebates, credit management, and forecasting
Create a pipeline of value growth projects and conduct product specification trials in local contract manufacturers and molders, managed in Salesforce
Lead resources required to effectively manage the customer portfolio
Qualifications:
University degree
5+ years in sales or technical sales roles, ideally 10 years
3+ years of experience in the plastics industry
5+ years of experience in the automotive sector
Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities including reliability, self-initiative, action and result orientation, and business acumen
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high-level meeting preparation capabilities
Strong negotiation skills
Opportunity management and internal coordination skills
Good understanding of the automotive market, macro environment, and trends
Proficiency in English and German, both verbal and written
