For our site in Pergine Valsugana (TN) we're searching for a qualified and resourceful Buyer.

ABOUT THE JOB

The selected candidate will be responsible for procuring materials and services essential to the efficient operation of the company, ensuring that all suppliers and purchases comply with the company’s standards regarding quality, cost, and delivery timelines. The role involves managing the entire purchasing process, from handling internal requests to monitoring orders and verifying invoice accuracy.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

• Collect, analyze, and process purchase requests from various departments, converting them into purchase orders
• Monitor warehouse inventory and manage the reordering of raw materials and consumables required for production
• Manage relationships with existing suppliers and identify new vendors, negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms
• Track the status of orders and follow up on any delays or issues
• Oversee the receipt of goods and ensure proper acquisition of services
• Verify that invoices accurately reflect the corresponding purchase orders

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related disciplines (or equivalent experience)
• 2 to 3 years of proven experience in a similar role within a purchasing or procurement department
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken); knowledge of a second foreign language is considered an asset
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across department

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

Limited physical demand may be needed. Physical demands will involve standing, walking, and occasionally moving or lifting material.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, with business core hours of Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. As an exempt employee, you will be required to work additional hours to support business demands.

TRAVEL

Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
