Within Tetra Pak Italiana, we are looking for a Service Engineer to perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance services and troubleshooting on food equipment. You will also be involved in installing and commissioning packaging equipment and providing technical training to our customers. Your role will be to deliver high-quality technical services and support, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and satisfactorily. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain experience in mechanics, electronics, and automation by working on our clients' sites.

This position can be based in multiple locations within the Emilia region (Italy). As a technician, you will be required to travel up to 90% across Italy (mainly Northern Italy, Monday to Friday), with weekends guaranteed at home. Career mobility is not supported for this position.

What you will do

  • Prepare customer sites for installation events, including assembling machines (primarily automation and electrical tasks)
  • Install, commission, and maintain filling machines and distribution equipment at customer sites
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault finding on-site and via phone
  • Conduct training for production supervisors and operators at customer sites
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, including support and follow-up on concerns and issues
  • Report all technical issues promptly according to company procedures
  • Travel up to 90% of your working time to customer sites

We believe you have

  • A Bachelor's or technical degree in electronic or electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance
  • 2-3 years of experience with PLC, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Ability to repair machines on-site
  • Experience with filling machines is a significant advantage
  • Willingness to travel extensively, more than 90% of the time
  • Native-level Italian and good command of English (writing/reporting skills essential)
  • Driving license
  • Good computer skills, including MS Office
  • Strong understanding of customer satisfaction and business vision
  • Initiative, teamwork, customer focus, and results orientation
