Within Tetra Pak Italiana, we are looking for a Service Engineer who can perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance services and troubleshooting assistance on food equipment. You will also be involved in the installation and commissioning of packaging equipment and provide technical training to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical services and support, ensuring all issues are resolved effectively and satisfactorily. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain experience in mechanics, electronics, and automation by performing services on our clients' sites.

This position can be based in multiple locations in the Emilia region (Italy). As a technician, you will be required to travel up to 90% across Italy (focusing on Northern Italy, from Monday to Friday, with weekends at home). Career migration is not supported for this position.

What you will do

  • Prepare customer sites for installation events, including assembling machines (mainly automation and electrical activities)
  • Install, commission, and maintain filling machines and distribution equipment at customer sites
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding services on-site and via phone
  • Conduct production supervisor and operator training at customer sites
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, supporting and following up on their concerns and problems
  • Report all technical issues promptly according to company procedures
  • Travel up to 90% of your working time to customer sites

We believe you have

  • Bachelor's or technical degree in electronic or electro-mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of work experience in electro-mechanical maintenance
  • 2-3 years of experience with PLC, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Ability to repair machines on-site
  • Experience with filling machines is a significant advantage
  • Willingness to travel extensively, more than 90% of the time
  • Native Italian speaker with good command of English (writing/reporting skills are essential)
  • Valid driving license
  • Good computer skills, including MS Office
  • Strong customer service and business understanding
  • Initiative, teamwork skills, customer-oriented and results-driven attitude
