Amentum is seeking a CST to provide physical security support in Italy. The CST will perform the following tasks:

  1. Performing audit, analysis, and interpretation of IFC construction drawings and specifications to identify security vulnerabilities (technical, physical) and associated threats related to Intelligence Community Directive 705 (ICD 705).
  2. Providing critical advanced technical knowledge to support unique security requirements in US Top Secret SCIF operations, including sound attenuation, electrical circuitry isolation, noise spillage, electromagnetic emission attenuation, and tactics for resolving substandard construction across all 16 Divisions.
  3. Reporting to the Site Security Manager on all technical security requirements.
  4. Documenting all technical standards necessary for SCIF accreditation.
  5. Conducting in-depth investigations into anomalies across all 16 construction divisions that pose significant threats to US Government missions and developing tactics for resolution.
  6. Possessing experience and understanding in technical surveillance countermeasures, PHOTOINT, IMINT techniques, and construction principles used by hostile and friendly intelligence services for clandestine surveillance.

Technical Description / Skills

  • Identifying Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
  • Assessing static security techniques and procedures.
  • Interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Implementing construction security surveillance techniques.
  • Conducting vehicle and personnel search techniques.
  • Applying basic technical surveillance techniques and familiar with intercept device development.
  • Knowledge of technical surveillance procedures, foreign intelligence, and counterintelligence devices and techniques.
  • Understanding systems on plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems (chillers, condensers, air ducts, pipes) used in US SCIFs, including QA/QC practices and exploitation tactics.
  • Knowledge of structural steel, welds, fireproofing, and related QA/QC practices and exploitation tactics.
  • Understanding foundations, footings, concrete, reinforcement, caissons, and associated QA/QC practices.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication wiring, splicing, patching, switching, and potential security risks for clandestine devices.

Required Training / Certifications

  • Completion of a CST Certification course (40 hours) within the last 5 years or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI eligibility.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of specialized experience (preferably in SSM/CST leadership), or
  • High School Diploma with 8 years of specialized experience (preferably in SSM/CST leadership), or
  • 9 years of specialized experience in security construction.
