Specialista Senior / Project Manager

Job description: In this role, you are a team member as a designer and will work together with your team coach, engineers, and other designers to develop machines tailored to customer needs. You will also discuss designs with purchasing, production, and service departments. You will report to the Teamleader Engineered Solutions.

Below is an overview of tasks and responsibilities:

1. Concept design in 3D-CAD of chiller, cooler layouts, and components, including piping, castings, machine parts, sheet metal, etc. (using Inventor)
2. Detailed design in 2D
3. Initial strength analysis on designs, if experienced in FEA
4. Follow-up of the design through different phases
5. Delegate repetitive and standard design tasks to an internal design studio (Gecia)
6. Set up instructions and technical specifications, applying standards and legislation (ISO, CE, PED, ASME, etc.)
7. Follow-up of the design during production when needed
8. Support other departments (service, production, purchasing) with technical information
9. Create and maintain technical documentation (drawings, bill of materials, purchase specifications, technical agreements)
10. Final release of drawings, BOMs, documentation, and instructions for production in the PLM system (ENOVIA and BPCS)
11. Collaborate with colleagues from production and service to resolve technical issues after gaining product knowledge

Experience requirements:

• Experience in a design and development environment is a plus
• Experience with chiller technology is a plus
• Previous experience as a designer is a plus
• Strong interest in concept design
• Fluent in Italian and proficient in English
• Good general technical knowledge
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software like AutoCAD and Inventor
• Interest in mechanical design and calculations/simulations

Educational requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience
