Job Opportunity: Data Engineer - Cloud Data Architecture

QIBIT, the ICT division of Gi Group S.p.A., a leading recruitment agency authorized by the Ministry of Labour, is seeking a talented Data Engineer for a prestigious company within a major global insurance group.

Position Overview:

Within the Data Management & IT Application team, you will support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of cloud data architecture. Collaborating closely with Senior Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, front-end and back-end developers, and other cross-functional teams, you will ensure data integrity, efficiency, and accessibility. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Designing and developing end-to-end data pipelines for efficient data acquisition, transformation, exposure, and visualization, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
2. Optimizing ETL processes, troubleshooting pipeline issues, and analyzing performance and costs.
3. Designing and managing data models to support analytical and reporting requirements.
4. Implementing data quality controls and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability, and contributing to data governance policies.
5. Collaborating on the integration of machine learning algorithms to enhance data processing and decision-making capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Management Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
• Up to two years of relevant experience.
• English proficiency at B2 level (assessment during interview).
• Architectural approach to planning, designing, and implementing advanced software.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, and DevOps tools (e.g., Git, GitLab, GitHub).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling principles.
• Flexibility, creativity, and an innovative, multidisciplinary approach.

Contract Details:

Temporary employment contract under the Banking and Insurance Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL).
