Position

We are looking for a Cost Controller to join our Business Unit EMPS (Energy Maintenance & production services), responsible for managing project control processes and supporting effective cost management across all maintenance-related activities. The role involves both operational and analytical responsibilities and requires strong coordination with Project Teams and AFC (Administration, Finance & Control) functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project control processes for the Business Unit's projects and ensure proper cost monitoring and reporting structures are in place.
  • Provide the BU Management and Corporate with timely and accurate data on project status, highlighting critical issues related to schedule and budget.
  • Analyze the economic performance of assigned Projects and/or Cost Centres and prepare periodic financial reports.
  • Coordinate administrative and accounting activities within projects, ensuring proper alignment with the AFC function.
  • Support the periodic budgeting process for Projects and the Business Unit, ensuring that necessary documentation is available for budget updates, final accounts, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in cost control for medium to complex projects.
  • Solid understanding of cost control principles, including WBS and CBS, project cost monitoring, performance measurement, cost estimation, change management, and contractual/subcontractual cost tracking.
  • Ability to produce detailed financial analyses and reports, identifying deviations and supporting corrective actions.
  • Professional level English (French is a plus).
  • Strong computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems (ERP); knowledge of JD Edwards / OneWorld is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and analytical mindset.
  • Availability for international travel required
