Junior Accountant

On behalf of our client, a successful auditing and consulting firm based in Nicosia, GRS is seeking a Junior Accountant. The successful candidate will be fluent in English and Greek (Russian would be advantageous), a graduate from a top-tier university, and studying for the ACCA or ACA qualification. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for conducting accounting for multiple clients across various industries (e.g., financing, investment, trading) in accordance with common accounting practices, IFRS, and the Companies Law.
2. Complete accounting engagements for managers’ review, communicate with clients and fiduciary service providers during engagements.
3. Responsible for VAT return completion (if applicable), in accordance with VAT legislation, and submission of VIES reports for companies with this obligation.
4. Prepare and complete tax computations and liaise with Tax Authorities as required.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

1. Accountancy graduate from a top-tier university with at least a 2.1 or equivalent.
2. Currently studying for or an affiliate of the ACCA or ACA qualification.
3. School leaving certificate with at least 18/20.
4. Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Caseware, Esoft, and Navision is advantageous.
5. Outgoing and pleasant personality.
6. Fluent in Greek and English; Russian language skills are advantageous.
