TRYA is looking for an experienced Software Engineer / Backend Developer to join our team and help shape the future of fashion tech, 3D scanning, and virtual try-on solutions.

About TRYA & Snapfeet

TRYA is a startup focused on digital innovation, machine learning management, and crowd-based testing. Our product line includes SnapScan, a 3D scanning service for virtual try-on and size recommendation, and Snapfeet, an iOS app that enables foot scanning and personalized shoe size suggestions.

Snapfeet uses QR codes and deep links to provide customers with virtual try-on experiences and accurate size recommendations, delivering analytics on fit performance and foot morphology.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain Python-based microservices running on AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, ECS, CloudWatch, RDS).
• Design and document RESTful APIs for mobile and web clients.
• Collaborate with the iOS team to integrate backend services with Snapfeet and other proprietary mobile apps.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance of the backend infrastructure.
• Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, and system architecture improvements.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of solid experience with Python, especially in backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Flask, SQLAlchemy, Jinja, Nginx.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH).
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, ECS, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Experience in designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Expertise with relational databases, especially MySQL.
• Experience integrating backend services with mobile (ideally iOS) and web applications.
• Familiarity with Docker and DevOps practices.
• Commitment to writing clean, efficient, and testable code.

Nice to Have

• Experience with WebGL/WebXR.
• Basic skills in 3D graphics and tools like Blender, MeshLab, etc.
• Familiarity with applied machine learning.
• Experience with user analytics and tracking tools.
• Passion or experience in fashion tech, e-commerce, or virtual try-on.
