Within Tetra Pak Italiana, we are seeking a Service Engineer capable of performing corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance services, troubleshooting, and assisting with the installation and commissioning of food packaging equipment. You will also provide technical training to our customers. This role involves delivering high-quality technical support to ensure customer issues are resolved effectively. It offers an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge in mechanics, electronics, and automation by servicing our clients' sites.

This position is based in multiple locations within the Emilia region (Italy). As a technician, you will be required to travel up to 90% across Italy, primarily focusing on Northern Italy, from Monday to Friday, with weekends at home. Please note that career migration is not supported for this position.

What you will do

  • Prepare customer sites for installation, including assembling machines (mainly automation and electrical activities)
  • Install, commission, and maintain filling machines and distribution equipment at customer sites
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis onsite and via phone
  • Conduct training for production supervisors and operators at customer sites
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, supporting and addressing their concerns
  • Report technical issues promptly according to company procedures
  • Travel up to 90% of your working time to customer sites

We believe you have

  • A bachelor's or technical degree in electronic or electro-mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance
  • 2-3 years of experience with PLC, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Ability to repair machines onsite
  • Experience with filling machines is a significant advantage
  • Willingness to travel extensively, more than 90% of the time
  • Native Italian and good command of English (writing/reporting skills are essential)
  • Driving license
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office
  • Understanding of customer satisfaction and business goals
  • Initiative and teamwork skills
  • Customer-oriented and results-driven attitude
