We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Car Systems Design engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for completing the design of engine systems, fuel system, gearbox cooling system, and the integration of these into the whole car package. For the specific components assigned, you will contribute to the concept through detailed design, supporting documentation, and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of the team leader to support design work with the concept and aerodynamic departments to maximize car systems impact on overall car performance.
• Ensure all design work is fit for purpose and take ownership of the quality of parts designed.
• Complete detailed design of car systems components and installations according to planned deadlines.
• Communicate clearly and timely with team members and support meeting targets.
• Maintain good relationships with other departments.
• Contribute ideas for performance improvements and highlight potential issues.
• Stay updated with the latest technical developments applicable to the role.
• Ensure designs are released on time and to specifications.
• Maintain a flexible attitude towards work and attendance, aligned with project requirements.
• Work professionally and proactively promote a positive team image.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering discipline.
• Extensive automotive design experience, ideally in F1.
• Knowledge of metallic materials and treatments.
• Understanding of composite materials and production processes.
• Proficient in tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar.
• Ability to thoroughly scope new tasks.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative.
