The AOG Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairs including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems. The AMT will make repairs and conduct tests to keep equipment operating efficiently and safely. The AMT will need to be self-sufficient and often work in remote locations exposed to the elements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all airframe and powerplant repairs and modifications required to meet company and regulatory requirements.
  • Remove and disassemble defective parts; assemble and install replacement parts and test aircraft systems.
  • Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignments.
  • Complete all required maintenance records accurately, including reporting times required to accomplish tasks.
  • Support all company policies and safety programs, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and deliver satisfaction to internal and external customers.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • B1 or B1 / B2 License.
  • UK CAA and EASA License.
  • Proven experience directly related to aviation (corporate aircraft experience preferred).
  • Type ratings on GVI and EMB550 desired.
  • Good working knowledge of EASA / UK CAA: Part 145, Part M, Part CAMO, Part 21.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess the legal ability to work in Europe and/or the UK and have the ability to travel in and out of the UK/EU and US and to all cities/countries where Flexjet serves.
  • Highly motivated and able to work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
  • Ability to multi-task within a team environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs.
  • Proven inspection competencies.
  • Detail-oriented and well organized; excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ideally own a set of hand tools; specialized aircraft tooling will be furnished by the company.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing duties, employees are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions. The noise level can be loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees must meet the following physical requirements:

  • Regularly talk or hear; frequently stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently lift and move up to 5kg; occasionally up to 22.5kg.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
