General Summary
As a member of the Qualcomm Total Rewards Management team, you will play a crucial role in the company’s annual performance review process, various compensation programs, and the design and administration of health, welfare, retirement, and time-off benefit programs. This role requires technical proficiency in relevant laws and regulations. You will collaborate with HR partners and functional leaders across the organization to ensure our compensation and benefits programs remain competitive, compliant, fiscally responsible, and aligned with our company goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Compensation, Benefits, or related work experience.
- OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of Compensation, Benefits, or related work experience.
- OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of Compensation, Benefits, or related work experience.
Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Human Resources, or related field.
- 3+ years of Compensation, Employer Benefits, Benefits Consulting, or related work experience.
- 3+ years of utilizing Compensation-related systems/tools (e.g., Advanced Excel, Workday, Tech Industry Surveys, etc.).
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Supports programs related to compensation (e.g., base pay, annual incentive plans) and employee benefits (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives).
- Conducts internal data audits and supports external vendor activities.
- Assists during the company’s annual review process, developing and testing program guidelines, analyzing pay recommendations, etc.
- Performs compensation benchmarking, ad-hoc analyses, and works cross-functionally to ensure programs are competitive and compliant.
Level Of Responsibility
- Works under supervision with decision-making that may affect work beyond immediate team.
- Requires effective communication, basic negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Works within department budget and performs tasks requiring planning and prioritization.
