Accountant

A local and established audit firm with offices in Nicosia is looking for an Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience, a good knowledge of the General Basic Cyprus Tax Legislation, and hold a relevant degree. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provision of Accounting, VAT, VIES, and daily banking services to a portfolio of international clients.
• Liaising with clients to obtain information needed for accounting and AML procedures.
• Analyzing complex financial reports and records.
• Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
• Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information.
• Preparing General Ledgers, Trial Balances, and management accounts within set timeframes.
• Assisting in the preparation of all necessary documents for accounting, including engagement letters, company documentation, and confirmation letters as accounting evidence.
• Supporting the audit process by liaising with auditors and responding to their queries.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Holders of a degree in Accounting, Economics, or partly qualified accountants.
• Relevant experience of at least 8 years in a similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent command of the English language; knowledge of Russian is an advantage.
• Very good knowledge of General Basic Cyprus Tax Legislation.
• Knowledge of Caseware and e-soft is an advantage.
