BWS is seeking a skilled and driven Production Engineer to support operations at the Tempa Rossa Oil Centre.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Smart Room:
Provide operational and technical support to Smart Room and Site;
Monitor greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions with the objective of minimizing site flaring, promptly identifying variables contributing to increased flare visibility at the Tempa Rossa Oil Centre;
Provide and ensure efficient process and technical support to the site operations team, covering wells, chemical management, production, processing, monitoring, and optimization activities
Collaborate to process studies when requested and recommend performance optimization or upgrade of facilities
Generate weekly reports on the volume of gas flared and the quantity of SO₂ emitted from both the flare and the incinerator;
Trace the origin of flared gas streams and investigate potential correlations with ongoing maintenance activities;
Support the analysis of environmental exceedances, contributing to the implementation of corrective actions in line with the Environmental Monitoring Plan (PMA), and produce the relevant documentation;
Summarize any daily exceedances of air quality and odorous emission limits, as detected by TEEPIT's fixed monitoring network;
Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations in PI Vision, covering complete plant units and site-wide sensor data, including the development of appropriate calculation logic;
Analyze and optimize operational parameters and plant performance through the development of dedicated monitoring tools using PI and PI-AF;
Carry out and support field-based activities such as test runs, performance tests, and fiscal metering operations;
Contribute to the monitoring of GHG emissions and to the implementation of FOPS-related actions within the CFR roadmap;
Continuous Emissions Monitoring:
Ensure monitoring of parameters related to the six emission points at the Tempa Rossa Oil Centre, acquired through the automatic emissions monitoring system (SME);
Promptly inform relevant personnel in the event of anomalies or exceedance of authorized threshold values;
Acquire and archive emission data on a daily basis, along with the associated reports;
Prepare daily summary reports;
Interface with Site for troubleshooting during upsets and to obtain relevant information in the event of anomalies (causes, corrective actions, restoration of operations, etc.);
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare specific summary reports upon request (daily and/or weekly and/or monthly);
Draft, protocol and collect signatures of preventive and/or informative notes to the Authorities in accordance with the provisions of Regional Decree DGR 588/2021 (AIA);
Draft, protocol and collect signatures for any installation upset notification to the Authorities issuing and sending updating on regular basis in accordance with the provisions of Regional Decree DGR 588/2021 (AIA);
Record, using the designated format, any anomalies detected (Production, Process, Environment) and the corrective actions implemented for their resolution;
Support CSR department with proper odor or air quality monitoring report in case of specific complaints by Oil Centre neighbours;
Support ENV department in the GHG monthly calculation, in terms of flaring gas conversion.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's/master's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical engineering or related field.
5-10 years of experience in process engineering, with significant experience in oil and gas facilities
Strong understanding of O&G process, knowledge of industry technologies, and experience with process safety management
Demonstrated problem-solving/analytical ability. Strong understanding of heat and mass transfer, fluid flow, and energy conversion
