Listed below are the mandatory requirements to be short listed for this role:
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in MICE, featuring;
- Significant experience in a reactive and pro-active MICE sales role;
- A minimum of 3 years in an international hotel group (ideally, but not necessarily, Hilton International) and a cluster environment;
- Significant experience in leading a Team;
- Computer literate, with excellent presentation skills, and highly confident with Microsoft Office’s suite (especially PowerPoint);
- Strong analytical and strategic mind-set, accompanied by regular use of daily/weekly reporting systems;
- Native or fluent in Italian (written and spoken);
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
- Additional language (French or German would be considered a plus);
- Confident use of PMS (Protel, OnQ PM) and CRM (Zoho, Delphi);
- Must be a EU Citizen or in possession of an Italian work visa;
The Conference & Event Director we are looking for, must be extremely organized and excel at internal communication, time management, and the ability to relate and manage our C&E Team.
- He/She focuses on negotiating and converting MICE opportunities. He/She is able to create strong and durable relationships with clients at different levels/segments.
- He/She must be able to set personal high standards and motivate the team to over-perform.
- He/She is a natural leader, who sets personal and team’s goals, with a strong capability of guiding his/her team through the process to reach the objectives with success, maximizing every opportunity.Monitor RFPs, options, and negotiations for group bookings, congresses, and events in close cooperation with the pro-active sales team as well as C&E team members.
- He/She manages hotel reactive sales plans to ensure they accurately interpret and support the hotel strategy and use these plans to focus sales and negotiation efforts on markets and segments that will lead to achieving or ideally exceed business objectives.
- He/She has strong strategical skills in predicting the upcoming changes in MICE environment but also analytical ones in understanding the KPIs and forecasting numbers.
- He/She works closely with the Senior Management Team to identify and drive focused activities on elements of the business that require additional support.
- He/She has strong capabilities in time management and coordination of both sales and operational aspects of every event.
- He/She strategically strengthens and expands the hotel’s customer base, in accordance with the pro-active sales team.
- He/She executes initiatives as outlined, but swiftly implements strategies/tactics to offset changes in markets, the economy or if driven by the competitive set.
- He/She organizes and/or attends scheduled group and related meetings.
- He/She prepares company contracts for events in accordance with current business and pricing conditions.
- He/She has strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate pro-activity in collaborating with other departments of the property, in order to make any experience of every guest a successful one.
- He/she will be able to strictly follow all company and brand procedures and plans, to contribute to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- He/She reports to the Director of Sales of Chia Laguna Resort.
Location base: Chia Laguna - Sardinia
Ø - Event Management from A to Z, including the operational organization at property level.
Ø - Regular and timely updating of CRM with opportunity updates, calls, account information, tasks, projects, etc.
- Focus on the teams KPI conversions in accordance with assigned goals.
- Contribute ideas to improve standards and new ideas of products and services offered.
Ø Actively coach the C&E Sales & Ops Teams.Adjust forecasts based on the current situation.
Ø Prepare reports and stats for the Group Director of Sales & Marketing and the Director of Sales on weekly/monthly basis.
Ø Attend sales and commercial internal meetings.
Ø Participate and/or conduct site inspections and Fam Trips on property.
