A Day in the Life

To support our Surgical portfolio within EMEA, we are currently looking for a full-time, customer-oriented remote Technical Service Specialist with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to explain complex technical issues related to the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) system and the Touch Surgery Enterprise DS1 (an AI-powered surgical video management and analytics platform for the operating room) to Healthcare Professionals (HCP), Start-up specialists (SUS), and Field Service Engineers (FSE).

This role is suited for a medical technical professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in an operating room environment.

Responsibilities may include:

  1. Providing remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS, and FSE, serving as a technical liaison between stakeholders and the operating unit.
  2. Driving the escalation process to resolve customer issues, including initiating field service support when needed.
  3. Collaborating with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
  4. Performing technical activities requiring judgment and owning continuous improvement projects.
  5. Ensuring all documentation and system entries are complete and promptly updated.
  6. Focusing on remote support, with occasional onsite support and training (domestically and internationally).
  7. Working hours are from 8:00 to 16:30, with on-call availability between 7:00 and 19:00, rotating among colleagues.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical, electrical, or mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 2 years relevant experience, or a medical degree with technical skills and experience.
  2. Fluency in Italian and English (C1/C2 level) and at least B2 level in French.
  3. Experience with robotics or motion control within a large capital equipment environment.
  4. Highly organized, flexible, capable of multitasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
  5. Experience analyzing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
  6. Experience troubleshooting software issues.
